In relation to the Canon 50D (and other models ?), there is an option for connecting the camera directly to a PC Monitor or Display via HDMI cable. I see this as a good feature whereby you can check photos directly from the camera without having to power up the PC.
I've connected my camera to my current 19" LCD screen (HDMI cable and DVI adapter), which has max resolution of 1280 x 1024. Through the PC, the photos look great but when viewing the shots from Camera via the HDMI cable (no PC), they are crap.
I'm assuming this is just a resolution issue because the screen is not controlled by the PC. Has anyone plugged their camera into an LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 via an HDMI cable and if so, are the photos clear ?
Don't want to buy a new screen and be disappointed.
