Are there any DSLR's with a crop of more than 2.0?
i.e. The X1H (Camcorder, not camera.) as I understand has a CF of 7.0!

No DSLR has a crop of more than 2.0 and that'd be the Olympus.

4/3 cameras (Olympus and Panasonic) have crop factors of 2x. All other DSLR's are around 1.5-1.6x

Not all, of course. The 5D MK2 is full-frame, 1.0 CF.. :)

In any case, I am sad to hear this but I appreciate the answers.

Would either of you happen to know for certain if I am correct that the CAMCORDER is 7.0 CF?

Sounds about right. If you divide the diagonal of the camcorder sensor by the diagonal of a "full frame" DSLR sensor and get seven, then the answer is yes.

Is that the best that current camcorders can do? I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about the crop factor of camcorders.

Hey Mark, thank you very much!

Why? I want to get into surveillance work. The "longer" the possible zoom, the better. I'd probably get an EOS adapter and put a 400mm on it.
If any gents know me here from a while ago, you might be suprised I'm not doing yet. :lol: Working on it ;)
