So, this is supposedly a picture of the real camera. Plus a 17mm f/2.8 pancake lens. Looks pretty sweet to me!

looks real small. oly could find themselves a great little niche here.

Yes it does look very cute with that little lens. Might look & feel a bit odd with a zoom though. Although if there's in body IS then maybe Oly will be able to produce a super short lightweight zoom for it too. Interesting times.

Did I scale that right? Using two methods, I estimated the depth of the camera to be 33mm. The first was just going by the diameter of the shutter button and my guess of how big it is (my E-410 is in the hospital so it was inaccurate). I figured 33mm +/- 3mm. The second method was a more precise scaling based on the hotshoe mount, and using ruler and calculator I got the total thickness to be exactly 33mm (32.9, but this is going off internet pictures).
The thickness of a Canon G10 is 46mm. Even assuming differences in measurements from the grips, this thing is at least 10mm thinner than a G10. Which would make it narrower too. Or else I did something wrong.
Of course the Oly mounts the lens on the outside and the Canon has it on the inside, but considering the sensor is more than twice as big and it has IS (presumably...)... it doesn't seem possible...
(Why bother you ask? Man I'm bored!!!!)

Looks very promising. Can't tell if it has any type of view finder other than the main LCD. I was hoping for at least a small range finder style.

Yoohoo, Sigma... step it up...
*wishes this tantalizing 4/3rds was a Foevon APS-C*

Why? You want weird color shifts and poor high-ISO sensitivity that badly? :)

This is interesting stuff. If it is indeed smaller than the G10 that this would be a really good camera. Perfect for the pocket....hopefully the prices won't be too high....but I guess that depends on production numbers and demand....

I can get ahold of one with a 17mm pancake lens and a 40-60mm pancake lens by the end of August that would be great and I might find a way to budget it. Otherwise, it seems less interesting, cause I will need it by then for travel.

Apparently people who were even more bored than me had the same idea of scaling off the hotshoe. Found after a little while scanning a different forum. Yup... it's small (assuming this is the real thing).
Top to bottom:
New Olympus Micro 4/3
Sigma DP1
Panasonic LX3
Canon G10
Nikon P6000
Panasonic G1
It is my speculation that all the lenses are at about 34mm equivalent focal length.
