ISO has nothing to do with the lens. It depends completely on the camera you have. Mine goes up to ISO 1600. Canon decided not to provide a higher ISO setting because it's a low end camera with possible sensor limitations. Anyway if you find your self in situations where you need ISO 3200, get a tripod if the subject is static or a flash when you need to illuminate something close to the camera or a lens will small f-numbers.

BTW Why do you need ISO 12800??

i'm just wondering because i'm playing around with the camera right now and can't sleep.

Ohk...didn't know that. Then if you need a higher sensitivity, you can activate ISO 6,400 and 12,800 via the Custom Function 2 setting
