Received email from Olympus about 2 lens rebates going on.

Get a $150 mail-in rebate on the fast-focusing 50-200mm SWD lens. Or, save $75 on the light weight, long-reach 70-300mm with macro. Get closer at family events or when shooting nature this summer. Now through July 31.

Amazon has the 70-300 for $329 (through Beach Camera) so that knocks it down to $254 after rebate. Sounds like a pretty great deal!

Now if only they'll do the same thing to the macro lenses. I'll get both!

I'd be happy to buy this lens to get the rebate! However, how do I figure out how to submit the rebate? I looked around and found no form that I could download and submit for this. Could you provide a link for the '70-300mm with macro' rebate.

Many thanks.

Barry.

Yes I second the macro request Raven. I've got the 70-300 & that rebate makes it a lot less than I paid - a definate steal of a lens. The 50-200 on the other hand is still too expensive for me even though it's supposed to be an excellent lens. Now if Panasonic/Leica were doing rebates on the 14-150 then I really would be selling my kit lenses & raiding my piggy bank ;).

Fortunately I like my lenses small, so I am not interested in any lens larger than my 70-300. In fact, I am really not interested in any lens larger than my 9-18 any more. This makes it easy to afford any lens I want, because the only two remaining are the 35 and 50 macros. I am definitely getting the 35mm early this summer. If I don't decide to get a secondary system for pancake lenses (Pentax or micro 4/3) I will add the 50mm by the end of the summer.

I think the 14-150 is a lot smaller than the 70-300.
