I was given a hp315 digital camera from a friend who changed cameras to be
compatable with his new firm .
Problem is the cd I have won`t install.can`t find replacement or info on how to get going on my computer,seems nothing available @ hp after 2004
any suggestions :confused: :confused:

any suggestions :confused: :confused:I'd suggest you get a CF card reader, shoot your photos with your camera, download them to your computer through the card reader, and don't worry about the camera software. If you don't have any way of viewing or editing photos on your computer, maybe an inexpensive program like Adobe Photoshop Elements would suit your needs. And, just looking at that camera's specs, i.e., 38mm fixed lens, 2MP images, I'd shy away from doing too much digital zoom, maybe 1.5X max if you need to make 4X6 prints. But give it a try and see what you think.

Here is the link to the software and drivers you need.
I would also recommend running with out the bundled sw.
Transfer all files via windows image aquisition and use the drivers only ;)
