Couldn't find anything in the search so here's a topic...
I'm looking for a LCD for my pc specifically for photo editing...22''....any recommendations is welcome. I'd prefer a LCD which can be adjusted sideways and upwards/downwards....Budget: $300-400
Thanks...
Here is a thread I started late last year looking for monitor advice too. The one I ended up getting is way out of your price range, but there are other suggestions here in your range....

Well I wouldn't mind spending more if its worth it...I did infact have a 3 year old viewsonic thats off to repairs(but might not get repaired) that did cost me $800....
Thanks for the link!!!
If you dont mind spending then I strongly suggest the NEC MultiSync LCD2490 its talked about in the previous link and I absolutely LOVE mine. (it does swivel to portrait mode also)
Good luck!

SAMSUNG ToC T240HD. You wouldnt regret it!

Consider an LCD TV that you can also use as a flatscreen TV.

Forgot to add earlier...I'm also looking for something that pivots...as my previous one did!!
I generally just get the cheapest - it seems to work out quite well for me.

Unfortunately I don't want to end up using one with a terrible viewing angle, terrible stand with no adjustability and should last me at least 3 years....
Have you looked at newegg.com? I dont know if they will ship to you in Dubai or not, but they are worth looking into. Very reputable and thats where I bought mine from.
Not to beat a dead horse but it sounds like the NEC best fits your wants and needs, here is the direct link to the model I have. One thing I really like is that it can be taken off the stand and hung on a wall if you wanted to do so.

Oh and with this monitor, the viewing angle wont matter, if youre standing on the side, it will be just as if you were directly in front of it!
I don't know how the voltage compares. US stuff is very out-of-synch with the rest of the world as the US uses a puny 110v power supply. Thus US gear gets fried when it meets the man-sized 220v power supply in the rest of the world. Incidentally, using a higher voltage means we can use a lot lighter cables to carry it as there's less voltage drop over distance.

Newegg won't deliver to the UAE...and delivery charges and import duty is usually crazy...and then if the product is defective then I'd need to send it back on my cost...so in the end I spend an extra $150-200....which does not make sense...
BTW 1299/- is a little too high for my budget....
So I'm looking for cheaper options with S-PVA panels...this one has caught my eye... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001246
But I don't know how much it might cost here....
That Samsung is one that I seriously considered but after reading reviews, I felt a little worried about color accuracy and many reported that it had a rather annoying loud buzz sound while in use.
There is a really nice Dell LCD out there, cant recall the name, but its worth looking into, and I dont know if you checked out the link to the other thread or not, but the Dell is mentioned there, along with other monitors in your $600 range.

I did...but the dell dealers have no stock.....
I'll need to go to each shop on our computer street to really get any information on whats available...not the best of ideas when the temperatures are soaring at 42'C.. :S
What you can do is just look around Newegg at all the monitors in your price range using the organize options on the left. You dont have to buy from there because of shipping but the user reviews are always great so you can get a real world feel for the product before you decide on it.

That's what I always do when looking for computer components....I tried it this time also but some of the LCD's I liked didn't have enough reviews and some of them had wrong specifications....
A little bump for my budget...sister who is the financier for my LCD has told me I can go for a higher end LCD....if I can justify why I need to buy it....that's always a good sign....I'm off to roam the Computer street tomorrow to see what I can find..
