nice, how much did you spend?http://photosnag.com/img/3322/n09x0302vnsn/clear.gif

I got the 2 lens at different time. The tripod and head I bought yesterday. The 17-50 cost $450, 70-200 $680, 190xprob $160, and 332rc2 head cost $125. I probably wont be spending this much in a while. I think my next gear will be the flash.

Quick question, Will I need a sb600 or a sb900? What does a sb900 do differently thin the sb600? I know that the sb900 has a stronger flash and it can go further. Besides that why would a amature like me need a sb900 over a sb600?

Usually when I find that I cannot hold my arms still at 1/5 of a sec, its when I really think a flash would come in handy. It usualy in a smaller room. Like a room that fits around 100-150 people.

Quick answer: SB900 is stronger. SB900 will go further if you want to advance into Nikon CLS (Creative Light System). It can act as a commander unit to others speedlights where SB600 can only be used as a slave unit. Also SB900 can fire multi flashes in succession in a single shot in advanced settings. That's the main differences.

Nice gear! Be sure to post pics with the new glass :)

BTW the D90 has the CLS Commander built into the body so you can trigger slaves without a SB800,900, or SU-800

that means that the flash does NOT need to be mounted on the camera to work? Im not going to buy a flash for at least 6 months but when the time come it will probably be the sb-900 but the price of the sb-600 is really nice.

I have taken a few pics witht the 70-200 f/2.8 but it nothing far away. Whe i go to the air show this weekend I will make sure Ill post some pics up.

That's correct but you will have to pop up the built-in flash so to send signal to the remote flash. That's advanced flash techniques and you will have to tweak quite a few settings to get there.
