I am looking for a compact point and click. Can someone give me some advice.

It must have HD video
Would like to record in something compatible with itunes. (MPEG4, .MOV)
big screen. would prefer 3 inch
must use SD card

and finally, I would like some options on the file name when it is saved. I have a Canon SD750 now, it saves the files with numbers. (100_2345). I forget the brand, but the camera I had before would save the files with the date built in, so I knew when the pic was taken.

I came across the Casio EX-Z300, but it only records 24/fps. never owned a Casio, so not really sure.

Here are all the HD cameras using SD - http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php?search=1&manSearch=0&resSearch=0&lcdSearch=0&storageSearch=5&priceSearch=0&cameraTypeSearch=0&zoomSearch=0&lcdTypeSearch=0&batterySearch=0&HD_Movie_Search=Y&submit.x=37&submit.y=4

The list that David gave you is great. It actually gave me the idea to narrow it further to everything you indicated wanting . . . a compact (in lieu of a DSLR) and at least a 3" LCD. That gets us to a narrower list of:

Frankly, I would personally look at the Canon's The two Canons (SD970 & SX200) both have the .MOV movie mode you were seeking. There may be an option on these Canon models to store the file under a date system as you are seeking (not sure on this).

Hope this helps and all credit is given to "David" for the idea of using the chart. Great idea David!
