OK, a rumor is floating (they always are huh?) that the LX3's are becoming scare because an earlier than normal LX4 may be coming this summer. Supposedly, it will have a CMOS sensor and more telephoto. Has anyone out there heard anything on this?
Also, I took another members advice and got on the waiting list at B&H Photo for an LX3 (black) but these cameras have been backlogged everywhere for so long that no one knows when production will kick back up again (if ever). So my second question is would you opt for the current LX3 or await the Pany TZ7?
The clear advantage of the LX3 is the better sensor, faster lens, better flash, raw and manual controls (obviously the better camera but so expensive). However, the TZ7 has an extremely useful 25 to 300 lens and is quite a bit cheaper (at least right now).
