I won't be doing this anytime soon but ....would that new 35mm1/8 be a good lens for this ? Oh sorry two part question folks ...if you were shooting this ...I know tripod for one ...iso? aperture ? shutter speed? ...Oh my ...multi question thread :D......anyways thanks in advance to all that will answer this ...much appreciated!!!!!

I got decent fireworks shots with the 18-55mm kit lens.

Check out the EXIF data in Flickr for more shooting information. I shot in Manual mode, with the shutter triggered with the wireless remote.
I'd say it depends on where you are in relation to the fireworks. If your not terribly far away and have a good view of the sky I dont see why you wouldnt be able to get some good shots.
A good starting point would be F10 and shutter of 10-15 seconds. Tripod ofcourse.

You can go to the fireworks thread and read the exif where available for actual numbers.

Thanks guys ....I don't know I'm doing wrong in Flickr but it won't show me all the Exif for some reason.....anyways I just wanted some thoughts and again thanks !!
