Vieweing images on the pc issues

I have just bought a canon ixus 970 10mp. I use the highest resolution with super fine setting, but whenever i put my pictures on my pc they look pixelated when you zoom right into an object or someones face. The images look great when developed but not so nice on the pc.

Any solutions
