I took delivery of a brand new D200 body from BestBuy yesterday. I sold my D80 combo a week ago and haven't used my lens since.
When I attach my 28-70mm lens, I get a flickering fEE message on the top display and in the viewfinder. I have the aperture locked at f22 as it should be on the lens. The message flickers several hundred times a minute, it's not simply flashing. The camera will meter and will take photos.
I'm finding that if I unlock the aperture and move it just a few thousands of an inch, the problem will go away. Almost as if the lens lever is not moving the camera body lever far enough over to convince it that it's locked at f22.
I never had a single problem with the D80, but I'm not thinking the problem is with the D200. Maybe the D80 is made differently, just enough to not have this same concern. I don't have any other lenses to test this with, so I'm at a bit of a loss right now.
Any ideas from the Gurus?
