Can anyone give me a recommendation for an online source for step-rings? I'm looking specifically for a 58mm to 37mm step-down ring. I can't find it at any place I've checked, including B & H, which seems to have the best selection. Thanks for any help.

Steve,

For a range that large you will usually have to stack 2 or more rings. What are you trying to step down for?

I think that's the size of Raynox's universal adapter.

Thanks for the responses. I was given this link to Camera Gear.com and they have the 58mm to 37mm step-down ring. This branch of the company uses the name, Adapter Rings.com and is a division of Camera Filters.com, which itself seems to be a division of Camera Gear.com.

I will use it to mount a 37mm telextender on a camera with a 58mm mounting thread. It will be vignette-free only in the outer 20% or so of the zoom range, but this is just a secondary use for the telextender, which will be mainly used on a camcorder with 37mm mounting threads.
