View Full Version : A couple questions about FZ-28 operation

Hello - I purchased an FZ28 two days ago and am still learning what it can (and can't) do. Here are two questions I've come up with so far:

(1) Can my camera tell me how much storage space is still available (or what % I have already used) on the memory card or built-in memory?

(2) Once I have recorded an audio dub associated with a particular photo, can I use the camera to remove (not just re-record over) the audio dub without deleting the photo? I may need to do this when I've taken a photo in high resolution (like 10MB) and I want to reduce the resolution to make the its file size smaller. The camera won't let me resize photos with audio dubs attached (which is understandable) - so once I have taken a high-res. photo and put an audio dub on it, can I remove the audio dub to resize the photo smaller, or am I just stuck (i.e., I can't use the camera to resize the photo)?

Thanks in advance to any of you for answering either of these questions. :)

(1) Multiply the number of shots left (as indicated on the LCD) by the size of your pic files (as determined by you in the setup; fine, high, low etc) to give you the total MPs remaining on the card.

(2) Don't use the camera itself to resize images. You're better off transferring the image files to your PC and copying them and resizing/editing them using dedicated software.

Hope this helps :)
