ok so i think this was my very first shoot with the 85mm f/1.8 and i pretty much fell in love with it immediately. i shot mainly 85mm and 30mm until i got to the lighting and went with my 17-55 out of convenience.

we had no plan at all going in to this shoot. i was hired 3 days before and we're 2 hours apart. we met in the "went end" in dallas(for those who don't know the west end it's a trendy part of downtown with night clubs and restaurants) and we winged it...wung it? i don't remember the temp but it was freezing out, poor girl was shaking the whole time...so was i.

Nice work Adam! How'd you process #2?

it's been a while since i did these so i don't remember exactly, but in lightroom i added fill, lowered saturation and upped contrast. in photoshop i took out the cars and the highway exit signs and just blacked them out. also added some USM contrast in photoshop and the obvious vignette. i think that's it.

i love it, it stays in my back pocket when i'm shooting. if you look close at it you can tell it's weathered. one time i dropped it when getting out of my truck, it spend a whole weekend getting ran over and parked on and my gf found it laying on the concrete! so they're very durable. made of some sort of hard plastic.

i noticed the other day that they make a lens focus calibration system for front/back focusing. it's a little expensive.

if you scroll to the bottom you can get the pocket card by itself without any extras for $20.95, that's the one i bought. well worth it in my opinion. it takes a split second to take a test shot with it.
