I been looking all over the net, but i havent been able to find out the information i need. Evidently the DSC-W120 has Bracket Exposure but i cant find it anywhere in the menus. My understanding when i bought the camera was that it didnt have Bracket Exposure so i am extreamly hopeful that someone can help me. thanks in advance!

According to this review (http://www.megapixel.net/reviews/sony-w120/w120-gen.php) the W120 doesn't have exposure bracketing.

What info led you to believe it had this feature?

Cheers :)

From the sony site, located here, (http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665309158) it says under Specifications:

- Still Image Mode(s) : Normal, Burst, Bracket Exposure.

Could it mean only that there are changeable EV's?

I've just bought the Sony DSC-W150, and it definitely does have auto bracketing.

I note that bracketing is not available in full AUTO mode though.

Cheers :)

would you be able to tell me exactly the menus you went threw to find it? I still have had no luck getting information. Thank you

Assuming that the W120 and the W150 menus are the same (which I'm not sure about - sorry) you need to set the mode dial to P, then hit the MENU button to bring up the onscreen menu. Then scroll down to REC mode, and then scroll across to either BRK ±0.3 or BRK ±0.7 or BRK ±1.0.

The camera will then take three shots with one press of the shutter button, but with one shot effectively underexposed, one correctly exposed, and one overexposed (by the amount you choose from the three options).

Note: the camera can't use bracketing in AUTO mode.

Hope this helps :)

Many (most?) advanced features aren't available in Auto or any of the Scene modes.

Yes, I actually picked up a 120 yesterday and was going to say that if you wanted to set that, you had to go into Program mode and hit menu.

I'm a big canon person and own numerous Canon digicams. Thus far, I really like the 120. BTW, for those of you who don't know, it's on sale at Best Buy for $109 this week (at least it is around here)

Thank you all so much. Just as i been experiencing, only normal and burst are available, even in Program.
