Hello guys,

I know many of you clean your own sensors so what kind of kits do you keep? Where do you buy them? 'Normal' camera shop dealers frown when I ask them for sensor cleaning fluid and say I should leave that to experts.

I messed up the sensor once but that's because of lack of proper materials. I recently took it to a repairer but I found there are still dust specks . Of course I took it back the next day.

So as long as I don't cause any damage to sensitive parts and proper kits there is no reason why I can't clean it myself, so the question is where does everyone buys the cleaning kits, especially the cleaning fluid?

Thanks.

Jeez you could have waited 3 minutes. :D

I was looking at the ECS site to see if they had anything.

LOL. I haven't dealt with DCW before that was why I didn't think of that shop earlier. As it turns out, DCW isn't too far from where I live either.

I paid $70 to have it cleaned and it shouldn't be too much to have the confidence they would have checked it before returning it to me? Maybe I should have spent that $70 on the cleaning kit instead.
