ok so i don't know about y'all but i'm sick of seeing the professionally made videos shot on brackets and dollies so everything turns out extremely smooth. how about some real deal stuff?

you get to hear what the sound is like and what video looks like handheld on the 5d II. i don't think it says ISO setting or whether he used something extra for sound, but i bet this is from the onboard mic. not bad, not bad at all. i'm not crazy about the lighting, but what can you do?

thoughts?

Yeah that's not bad. I don't think it's unfair to judge the video when tripods and a rails are used as long as it's consumer type stuff. If you think about the accessories the average photographer buys like flashes and tripods an extra 400 bucks to do really good video isn't that crazy to me... but I do know what you are saying. it's nice to see what a "snap shot" video looks like off of that thing. I wonder how easy it is to adjust WB in PP?

there's so little i know about video it's ridiculous. like you said, it's just nice to see what a snapshot looks like. and i'd been wondering about sound quality.

Very serene and tranquil....

Makes me wonder if you can get digital picture frames that will display short movies with an accompanying mp3 file.

That would be cool eh?

I agree with Nick. I don't think it's unfair to show some professionally made stuff, because let's face it, some professionals will use this camera, but I also agree that some amateur stuff should be shown as well. Thanks for the links.
