After ignoring the links page for literally years, I'd like to update it to make it more relevant to our readers.
I'm currently cleaning up the list, removing outdated and irrelevant links. There were also over sixty THOUSAND spam links that were submitted (but never put online) that I had to get rid of.
Since I don't have time to look for every possible useful link, I'm asking you to help.
http://www.dcresource.com/links/
Is there a link that should be on there that isn't? Is a link on that page outdated? Please post here, or e-mail me directly, and I'll take care of it.
Thanks for your help!
Jeff
Might I suggest two more sections:
1. places to get prints made online. You could have a pro and an amateur section. I like WHCC and RCProLab.
2. A list of professional photographer's sites.

I actually used to have online photo printing places listed. I could bring it back.

I was on the link page a week or so ago looking for a link to B&H, so my pruchase would go through your site. Their ad came up shortly anyways so no problem, but maybe a regular sponsor section added to the categories.

Actually there are several things that would be useful but is it financially going to be worth it?
How about lists of:
Printing sites
Online archiving/storage sites
Free photo sharing sites
Profit photo-sharing sites (where people can buy a print but the photographer gets a big cut and a say as to the licencing)
A list of professional photographers.
Currently I don't operate referral links but it might be time for me to do so.

I use to use white house... pretty basic. I now use ACI and HerffJones.
Sites are.. ACILab.com and HJPro.com Both are in the "pro" category, though. Both required a state tax ID to set up my account.

Under the header "Other Digital camera Sites" it could be worthwhile for those of us downunder to have a link to:
http://www.photoreview.com.au/
A benefit to Aussie readers is the pricing in AUD and the local model availability, plus Australian retail outlet links.
—thanks Jeff. :)
There's a thought - models... The model agencies hide themselves very effectively.

I don't think including links to pro photographer sites, advanced studio lighting, model agencies etc. are relevant to the target audiance of this website. It may be interesting for some of the forum users, but I think the majority of the people using this website are not very advanced in their photography.
What I think would be more useful is links to sites that can help you improve your photography. For instance:
http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/
This site has many basic, but also more advanced tutorials. I have many more bookmarked, but I am not using my own computer now. I will post them in a day or two.

I'd recommend grouping the links into separate International and Regional groups. Regarding the latter - are you interested in US links only or are other regions of interest too?

An alternative for grouping International/Regional links would be specifying the delivery options for the sites taking online orders. E.g. "Online printing, delivery in UK and worldwide".

Sites that are not US-based will be listed as such.
I've pretty much cleaned things up, so let's start submitting some new sites!

I'd recommend a link to the jalbum (http://jalbum.net/). It fits into two categories:
- Digital Imaging Software Links, as it's a free software for generating customized web albums which you can upload to any web server;
- Online Photo Printing/Sharing Sites, as they are offering their own web hosting at the jalbum.net site. Publishing your albums to the jalbum.net is integrated into the jalbum software.
I like it mostly because of the vast amount of different skins that you can choose for your albums.
Cheers,
Margus

Just a quick note - HP is not a camera manufacturer any more.
