DMC-TZ5, after the picture rotated by microsoft photo editor, couldn't display again

Hi,

I have the DMC-TZ5, i have took out the sd card and view the pictures, rotate the picture with microsoft photo editor, but after that, i have the sd card inserted back to the camera, the photoes have been rotated couldn't display any more, instead just blank. can someone tell me is this normal? thanks

Panasonic cameras will not display any image that has been altered in any way. Nor will they display any image that was copied onto the memory card from a source other than another Panasonic camera. And you risk messing up the image numbering if you mix images from different cameras (even if they are Panasonic) on one card.

Cameras, in general, have a very restricted format in which they will display images. They don't really like it when you copy files from elsewhere, although to some degree they can still display them. In your case, you passed the threshold where the camera can still recognize the image.
