what are some good lenses for a pentax k20d (70-210)?or some thing close
and where can i get a decent price . i've checked on e bay but am a little afraid .
i have an old vivitar 70-210 macro. it has the extra flange and no A setting on the apature, was told i could not use on the k20d.
any suggestions?

looking to go about 250-450 range? ive saw some realy good ones around 600 but thats a little beyoud my budget now. thanks

There aren't really a lot of good choices in that range. These are probably your best bets:
Pentax DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8
Pentax DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6
Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO Macro
Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Macro - I used to own this one. It gave me too much purple fringe for my liking.
I believe SpecialK (a DCRP member) has experience with the first 3 there. You might PM him to see what he thinks.
If it were me, I'd save up and buy something better. These lenses are only suitable for outdoor use. If you're planning on using a circular polarizer with them, make sure you get something that doesn't have a rotating front element.
