Need to replace my 2 year old casio exlim ultracompact. Am considering the Canon SD880, Fuji F100fd and Panasonic FX37. My key criteria are picture quality at ISO 100 and ISO 400.

I'll miss the viewfinder on my Casio, and if anyone has a suggestion for an ultracompact with comparable picture quality to the best above with a viewfinder, I'd also appreciate that.

needles-

All of the listed cameras are good. However, the Canon SD-880 just took the top honor over at www.dpreview.com in their review of premium compact cameras.

Uh, actually the F100fd won...

BTW the Panasonic in that class is the FX150.

That head to head review was exactly what I needed to understand the differences between the cameras. I like the longer tele and better ISO 400/800 performance of the Fuji. I'll need to check the menuing system, which is described as the weakest aspect of the Fuji (other than aesthetic design) and if I can live with it, will go with the Fuji.

I might also check out the Sony W150/W170. They have a viewfinder and very good image quality. They W150 is highly recommended on this site, and the W170 is the same camera with a slightly wider lens.
