I have a Fuji Z2 and want to know if there is a version or competitor with better low-light capabilities.
I understand that a camera this small and style-oriented has limitations and cannot equal a 'serious' camera, but since it's so easy to pocket I can have it with me when I'd otherwise have no camera or only a cell phone. Considering its size it's suprising how well it works, but at higher ISO in the evening the image degrades rapidly. Flash is not helpful - I want outdoor shots or situations where flash is inapropriate.
Is there something pocketable now or coming up in the next year which is like the Z2 but better in low light?
And .... could someone please stop the minicam megapixel race?!! Perhaps influencers like DCRP can make enough noise to be heard. A small camera with too many pixels simply means a degraded image. I don't need 10MP to print a 6x8 snapshot, and the lenses aren't worth 10MP in a pocket cam! <<grrr>>.
Thanks.
