youtube says: "This video is not available in your country."
WTF?! Internet censorship? I know that German internet providers are required to filter out known child porn sites, but the Australian branch of youtube? Something is wrong here.
Anybody got another link to this?

Probably due to the content of the video clip... it involves Hitler.

A depiction of him from a movie...but yes you are probably right.
I've got to say that I'm well over variants on that particular piece if video. This is probably the 6th or 7th version with subjects from World Cup Soccer to motorcycles (several times), cars and now cameras.
Surely somebody can find some other footage from a movie that they can apply funny words to.

As usual it's still all relative if you have a need for the camera the price is cheaper than a Hasselblad. If not the D3 is now an exceptional deal. either way somebody wins. Who knows in six months it may seem like a steal. :D

I love the point someone made elsewhere that undoubtedly the biggest whingers like KR will undoubtedly be buying the D3x so he can have a chance to write about it and then post links to sales opportunities, for his family.

Very well done! Unfortunately the rant is fairly well justified. If I had my druthers I'd extend it to bemoan how new bodies proliferate like guppies leaving any firmware advances dead ended for the older bodies.
It wasn't long after I bought my D50 that it was nuked and now that I've finally upgraded to a D300 it's marketing life will probably be short-lived as well. Not that I'm disappointed in either body, I think they are both great but it is a shame how the firmware updates are pretty much just bug fixes and not a path for continued growth and longer term enhancement. For that reason my approach to digital cameras is now this:
Buy and invest in the lenses - the body is just a disposable accessory that will be obsolete in at least 3 years.
I can't blame Nikon, or any of the others, since the bodies are ripe for further enhancements much like PCs and this will probably never end. I am a bit miffed at Nikon though for their earlier statements that the DX lens size was the optimum ideal for digital cameras and that they had no plans for a full size sensor DSLR so go ahead and invest in the DX lenses without fear. This was pretty much an obvious lie. Fortunately I suspected as much and while the DX format will live on for a while it seems to only be a matter of economics until even a full frame sensor eventually appears in a consumer grade DSLR. Why perpetuate the DX lens line after that?
Of course some new super cool DXplus will probably appear that will make use of these lenses and confound us for another decade!
It's all good though (until the D400 is announced!)

such is life
I personally don't give a damn if they release a new body every year nor do I believe bodies are disposable after 3 years
to me thats not truly appreciating what you have.

to me thats not truly appreciating what you have.I was thinking about this stuff...and how I might feel when Nikon releases a full-frame camera with HD video at PMA. You know what? I'm with you 100%. I won't care a hoot. I like my current camrea just fine. I can't ever imagine not liking it. I can't think of any other feature that I want or need. It's my camera until it dies...three years from now or ten years from now. And video? I have it on my S3 and have used it maybe 5 times in two years. So. obviously, I don't need it. More resolution? My files are already astronomical and are easily enlarged to 40x30" and more.
What that youtube video has right is Nikon's lack of focus (pun intended) regarding it's lens lineup. It's very frustrating indeed when the entire Nikon shooting public agrees about what it wants, but Nikon is deaf to it.
Buy and invest in the lenses - That would be a lot easier if Nikon spent more time building the lenses people want (e.g.: fast AF-S primes, VR on a FX mid-range zoom, a refresh of some old and tired designs, and a suite of f/4 zooms, etc., etc.).
