Panasonic TZ5 or Canon SD880?

I already own a Nikon D70 and want a small point & shoot to keep in my purse for pictures of kids, travel or anytime you just want to carry a small camera instead of my bulky D70. Any other suggestions of cameras are welcomed also. Thanks for your help.

The TZ5 has a longer zoom but is also a larger and heavier. Both have very good picture quality.

Canon wins over Panasonic with sharper and more detailed pictures.

Panasonic camera offers longer zoom (10x vs 4x), better resolution LCD and HD 720p movie mode, so you might still consider it.

Just to be thorough I would add the Sony W170. More compact than the TZ and does have a viewfinder ...
