I know this was posted before but I wanted a new thread to drive it home. I just ordered a Canon 70-300mm IS USM lens for my dad for Christmas for $350, $150 below the normal price. Those of you who have followed this lens's price know how good a deal that is. I could also get an Olympus E-420 with lens for $355, quite a good price vs. $420.
Method:
1. Go to MSN homepage, msn.com
2. In the Live search box near the top of the page type what you are looking for
3. The results come up. Near the top of the page will be a "sponsored sites" box.
4. Click on the link that leads to eBay.
5. Find a reputable dealer on eBay that has your item available with "buy it now". There will be a green bar with a red flag near the top indicating the degree of cash back you will get on the item, it varies between about 15% and 30%
6. Use the "buy it now" option only to complete the transaction, don't forget to tally shipping costs first! You have to pay with PayPal!
7. Return to "My eBay" and open your messages, you will have one that leads to a short form you fill out.
8. 60 days later, you will get the money deposited back into your account.
That might seem like a long process, but it is barely longer than the normal eBay process, just the extra steps of Live Search and the rebate form.
Other notes: $200 is the max rebate you can get. It only works in the U.S. (sorry). There are other "e" stores this works in also, you can find them through Live Search, but apparently eBay has the largest rebates.
