Ive analyzed the 3 cameras, and cant decide for one of those; maybe knowing wich one have a good software for MAC will help me to decide. Can you help me? I will use it for landscapes and portraits, both in color and b/w.

I was decided to the canon, but i read the review on this page and got a litlle scared ..."Seemed to produce an abnormal number of out-of-focus shots"..is that true?

Thanks!

I haven't experienced an abnormal number of out of focus shots

sure in low light it goes a bit silly but nothing to complain about because there usually is a way around it

I'd definitely get the Canon of the three you mentioned. The D60 seems half baked to me, Nikon lost the way since the D40 in my opinion. The A350's main attributes are more megapixels (which hurt image quality over ISO 200) and faster live view. I'd prefer the A300 over it. But I would recommend an Olympus E-520 or Pentax K200 over either Sony model.

In fact, looking at the "buyers guide" on this website reflects my opinion, though I think the D40 is finally starting to show its age. What I am trying to say is I would recommend the Canon 450 "XSi" or Olympus E-520 over all of them.

Or, even better, try them out in person at a store and get the one you like best.

Of the three you mentioned, Canon.

The E-520 is also a good camera.

thanks guys, i guess my options are the rebel450 and the olympus520. Im getting a good price on the canon and always was my first choice, so this one will be. I will try to have it for this weekend, and use it at the madonna concert on saturday. Hope to get cool pics, thanks again(from argentina)!!!

450D with a 50mm 1.8 would be a great package...

That would be somewhat useless at a concert though.

I wouldn't use a concert to judge a camera, mostly because it can be very difficult to get good shots, and it depends alot on the lighting at the show.

Thats just me though.

I knew i should of put a fine print.

Now try to do the same photos without being anywhere near the stage. Notice he said a madona concert and is thinking about buying his first SLR, im willing to bet a 50mm 1.8 that hes not gonna get as close are you are in those photos.

I know its possible, i've done it myself, but not to a full blown concert without access to the stage ;)

1st is at 51mm, 2nd at 47mm. And i had access to the front row to get these.

Not to mention your first shot has flares on it, mine are a bit discolored, and we both have experience with our cameras AND were shooting at iso1600. Come on now, i know Nick can popup with some of his band shots too, but none of these compare to a madonna concert even remotely.

what a debate!!!
the true is that will be a madonna concert (50.000 ppl) but i will be between the audience and the stage, a good spot i guess. If something decent come out of this, i will post pics here. Thanks!
