SD Card not formatted,photos taken but....

Hello,
I just bought a Canon G10 and two SD Cards Lexar Professional 4GB 133x. I mistakenly took a lot of photos using the card i had not formatted. I took the card out and put it in the card reader slot of my laptop and got the msg, card not formatted, do you want to format now? I cancelled this.
I put the card back in the camera and now get the msg memory card error.
Does anyone know if I can still access the photos and how?

I'm pretty sure it is the equivalent of shooting with the lens cap on - no pictures. Because there was no file structure on the card, I don't think there would be anything useable to recover. I'm not a techie, but that just seems logical.

Google PC Inspector. They have a free "Smart Recovery" tool download that I have used to recover 'deleted' images off an SD card. Maybe that will work on your card.
