I just wanted to start a thread on workflows and wanted to see what you all do for importing photos and how you manage your images.

I was using Adobe Camera Raw at first because Aperture didn't support my RAW format for the Canon 50D. But with the most recent update I use strictly Aperture to manage my photos.

I'll import the RAW to Aperture, edit within Aperture with appropriate plug-ins. If I have to do more complicated editing (i.e. Layers, masking, blending multiple images etc) I'll use Adobe Photoshop to do it. Usually this is done by editing the image in Aperture then exporting the edited image to my file system and further editing it in Photoshop.

Plug-ins I use for Aperture are Nik Software, Silver Efex Pro and Mappature. I'm trying to figure out if Nik's DFine or Noise Ninja is the better noise correction software. Let me know if any of you have used either.

I am moving from Bridge CS3 + Camera Raw to Lightroom 2.

Very, very different and taking a while getting used to it, but it will be better in the end.
