How about new threads?

I would like a general chat thread. To talk about anything. I find this site sometimes to be to stiff and uptight. I belong to the VWvortex Forum its about about VW's but it also has other threads from watch repair to photography.

I like this site and the feed back I get from some of my shots. Its just a suggestion.

BS happens in all threads. We don't need a section dedicated to it. Try joining in ie getting to know people instead of making a blanket judgment & slinging insults.

I come to a photography forum to discuss photography. I go to general discussion forums to discuss other things. If DCRP turns into a general discussion forum I will go elsewhere.

I agree. Why join a photography forum to discuss how to fix my toilet? I enjoy the off topic discussions that end up on some threads and it makes it interesting, but they are usually created from something related to photography. This is a great forum and shouldn't risk its integrity by adding potentially dangerous topics and threads.

PS - I agree with Don about throwing out insults like that. If you're going to insult us at least make it a valid point. Stiff and uptight because we discuss photography in a forum dedicated to Digital photography?:eek:
