No offense, but could you PLEASE cut back on those nonsensical wannabe-geek abbreviations?
And while we are at it, use a subject that actually makes sense?
shshsh lays the law down
and I agree with him :)
but hello :)
can't wait to see photos
welcome aboard. look forward to you posting some photos. :)

GREAT pictures! I particularly like #2 and #3 of the last set you posted, mainly because of the reflections on the water. Where were these images takes?

Hmm you call yourself new, if that's true then you've picked up on many principles of photography much faster than most people.
Those are great results, may I ask what aperture you are using for most of those night shots?
Good to see another positive Tamron 17-50 owner.

Great pictures.
So what can you say about tamron ?
Is something that is not so good or even bothers you about that lense ?

Autofocus is slower than the other brands.
ANP, Visual Reality, alessy - Thanks for all those kind words.
Visual Reality, first three were taken at F5 and last 3 at F10.
For the last three, my watch tells me, 21:30 its preety dark.
Wanted to snap it at F15 but since my shutter only gose up to 1/30,
I settled for F10 ... With D80, can't go beyond 1/30 ... but still its a good camera though.
Still a long way to go. Still need to touch on photography.
And still learning ... really ...
Great pictures.

Its a good lense I must say. And have to agree to Visual Reality too.
BUT I found that this lense gives a tad more yellowish colour.
And also bit on the soft side ... I don't know ...
or maybe its just me ... :o

You can go beyond 30 seconds in "Bulb" mode but it is all manual. You should get a remote for that though.
The lens is only soft at f/2.8 - by f/4 its as sharp as any of the best lenses.
Yellowish color - are you using any filters?
ARGGHHHH ... I forgot bout that *BULB* thingy ... *freakin @55* ... :o
am not using any filters.

I stick with f/4. I use f/2.8 if I have to, but f/4 is quite a bit sharper and most of the time I use flash anyway. Beyond f/4 you start sharpening up the background too much.
50mm + f/4 + bounce flash = results ;)

Lightroom :)
Lightroom :)
WOW! .. great S/W, with all that presets, nothing can go wrong.
Even a sephia presets ... ... thanks VR ... :D
