Okay, Canonites ... the word out there is:

TAMRON SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di-II LD (Canon-mount)

41535

Okay, who's got one and what is it like?

Compare and contrast ... and most of all, be honest. This is a very hot UWA lens.

Was hoping to hear feedback on this one myself.

The Ultra wide market is already saturated with great lenses in that range what makes this one stand out?

The range, I guess. I dunno. I don't think an extra 2mm on the front end (vs the Canon 10-22) is anything worth oozing and ahhzing over. Either way it doesn't have HSM/USM.

I suppose it'll win on price, like other Tamron glass.

Agreed.

The only new UWA that offers anything really unique is the new Tokina 11-16 f/2.8.

We'll see how the reviews turn out vs the price point, but the Canon 10-22 is a very nice lens. And if I was trying to save a few bucks I'd go with the Tokina 12-24 - its 2mm less on the wide end, but I find that 12mm on 1.6X crop is wide enough for most shots.
