I've been the selective colouring guy for ages. Some people like it, some don't. I'm thinking of going a little further and try new things....started with my new found liking for panoramas....now I'm trying more PP stuff....

Here are a three images I've tried something new for me....C&C welcome...

pretty cool :)
Im not sure why but on the 3rd shot i think that right side would look better in color :)

faisal - I love that you're experimenting and expanding your creativity! These are great flower shots. That said, the selective desat thing doesn't really work for me. But unless I'm a paying client, you need only please yourself! Keep up the good work!

I think the originals are better than my selective fader colouring idea...hmm...back to the drawing board... :)

and thanks...

Hmm yes interesting but don't really like it yet. I think the last one might look a bit better if you graduated it from B&W at the top to colour at the bottom. What about grading from B&W at the outside & colour in the centre is that possible? No 2 might look good like that? Just a few off the wall thoughts.

No 2 is like that....B&W on the outside and colour in the centre.... :)

Oh I see the effect is just too subtle for me, sorry I'll wake up before I post next time!

no need to be sorry...the effect was meant to be subtle compared to the others which makes it difficult to notice..... :)

wow it's a neat idea. I'm not a fan of the first 2 but really like the third one.

Not everyone like color selection, but I do and this is an interesting way of dealing with it!

I think it is hard to notice here because the flower is all in colour so you can't see the transition. I would like to see the effect of fading from the centre outward on no 3. I think because the flower takes up more of the image you might be able to notice the fade to B&W more as it creeps into the outside pedals. Just a thought:p

hmm...so atleast some positive out of my idea... :D

Anyway here's another thing I've tried....13 shot panorama of the sky....saw clouds in the sky..so decided to capture it but 18mm is never wide enough so panorama skills to the rescue. Not the cleanest of efforts and the perspective is messed up but I'll give it a try again....The arch like thing is in fact the wall around the balcony but due to the stitching its come out curved but I like it... C&C welcome
