Went with a friend to take some pictures of Sheikh Zayed Road (the busiest highway of Dubai). Will post picture of it later but here is a shot taken on my way back home as I stopped by while trying to avoid Salik (a toll gate on a few bridges and roads).
A 6 shot panorama....
I'd forgotten to take shots to make a panorama during the Eid fireworks (http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41189) so revisited the spot today....

Will add some more shots from today later on.....

One more shot for today...rest of them tomorrow....
Shot it RAW....had to bump the exposure by 1 stop in Photoshop to get this result

Thanks Spook and Peter.....
Here's a shot of a building called 'The Tower'. Its a 4 shot panorama....according to the ruler in Photoshop the building is straight, but to my eyes it seems a little tilted....weird!!!

those are freakin beautiful faisal. do you have a panoramic head on your tripod or is this just wingin it? either way AMAZING. the first one and the foot bridge are just awesome.

Thanks Adam.... :D
I don't own a tripod for a DSLR.....I use a tripod that is meant to be used for professional video cameras that was borrowed from my brothers office....
But its one hell of a heavy duty stable one...I need to buy a lighter one though cause it's difficult to carry around....
So its just winging, if that means moving the tripod head sideways.....

I've been shooting with a DSLR for about 13 months....and after 28K shutter actuations, I think now I can claim that I'm a better shooter than when I'd started out....it feels nice!!!
Got a job interview tomorrow in a news paper publishing firm. I hope all goes well.... :)

The job interview is for a photo researcher but they've asked me to get my portfolio as well....so hoping it involves some photography....7 hours to go for the interview....
Wow! Some awesome shots here Fais!
Liking the Pano, but really loving the foot bridge! Great perspective! Just wish it were little longer...

Btw info from the Interview....
not a photographer job...its a photo researcher position. Not keen on it unless they pay me enough to satisfy my frustration to not be a photographer....lets see....
