Hi, It's time to ask a few questions of a technical nature. Imput from senior members requested. My Canon is the first real camera that I've owned. It has really been a very good buy, with loads of features, effects, etc. I won't get a new camera as an upgrade for probably a couple more years. One thing that I've noticed is I take a lot of wide angle shots, historical buildings, aircraft, etc. With me wider is better. Whats available with this camera is a
WC-DC52 wide angle lens. A 52mm 0.7x wide-angle converter lens, plus a lens adapter to make the fit work. Will this increase be worthy of maybe $80.00? Is there a % increase in more "shot" that can be squeezed into a picture with this lens?? I had once before asked about the telefoto attachment to see if it would be an addition that would be worthy; and was told not really. I agreed. Any comments welcomed. Also, what about the "panorama" feature of a camera? Should that give you more wide shot also? Regards, WALABOOM.

Thanks for the info. Very interesting! It's always easier to decide when you "see" something, rather than just reading it. I like the idea of this much more than the telefoto lens. The wide angle for me, is of a pressing need. I think it would be worth it. By the way, the panorama feature of a camera, does that really do anything worthwhile? Any comments welcomed. Thanks again, WALABOOM.

Panoramic photo (http://www.hikethewhites.com/bonds2/pan1a.jpg) - made with Canon stitch software and in camera pano mode. Can't do that with a wide angle lens.

Thanks again for the info....always appreciated. I'm starting to amass a large collection of my shots. My next mission is to catalog 20-25 vintage aircraft in a 33,000 square foot hangar. Some 1920-30's, Viet Nam era jets, etc. Thanks again. WALABOOM.
