photo book

hi guys. my wife just recently tried out the photo book feature of ofoto. we were so excited when it arrived, but to our dismay, half the book was botched up! pictures werent auto-fitted so it looked cropped in an unsightly fashion; captions were cut and the printouts seemed darker than what they should be. needless to say, we will be returning the book. but we still like the idea though of being able to make a photo book. any suggestions as to other sites offering the service with better results?

1) http://www.shutterfly.com offers excellent "Snapbooks," in which you can caption each photo to your liking. You can also crop, color enhance, or otherwise edit each photo, and I've found the final results to be absolutely perfect - what I saw on my computer was what came back from the shop. More recently they've been offering larger bound books; I haven't tried them, but have no reason to doubt their quality, from such a quality source.

2) Depending on your computer/operating system, Apple's iPhoto allows you to compose your own book on your computer, caption each page as you please, with different photo arrangements on each page as you choose, and then upload the order to purchase the final book. We have an excellent "coffee table" book we made this way, though it was quite a bit more expensive than the Snapbook approach. Colors and paper quality are great.
