Hi all,

New boy on site, so heres a bit of a intro to assist those that like to know...

Bit of a novice to digital cameras and photography in general, though have had and used SLR's for many years. This was mainly to keep records for my hobbie, (fishing) but I have never really branched off into proper photography, either atmospheric landscape pics, macro or wildlife. Have taken a few decent snaps of sunsets etc, but who hasn't.

Recently, I got hold of a second hand canon 300 D, and went on to purchase a tamron 28-300 zoom in order to play a little better, and although this gear helps it cant work miracles, and with the limited time I have, getting that great shot still seems a long way off...

Welcome to the forum crackoff. Your 300D is a great tool to get started with. You'll find photography much cheaper than fishing if you own a bass boat :)
That "Great shot" is just around the corner. Your talking to Noah about the flood concerning limited time. I've been stuck for 3 weeks on 24/7 on-call and I'll get out for a couple of days after next weekend. Best of Luck with your new hobby interest.
