I've been doing a bit of work photographing food for restaurants' menus and websites and some interior shots of their establishments. I've also been doing a bit of stock photo work. I would love to start learning portrait/model photography as well. I am moving into a new apartment which has room for a small studio and am looking to buy some strobes/umbrellas/stands (I think 2 should do the trick with reflectors for fill, but I may go for a three light set up). Anyways, my question is this: 150 watt or 300 watt strobes? Will 150 Watts be enough power for what I want (worried most about restaurant interior shots) or should I just bite the bullet and shell out for the 300 Watt set up? Thanks for the help and suggestions.
