Does anyone know how much memory each video type takes?

E-mail Frame Rate: ?
Fast Frame Rate: ?
Standard 320 x 240 at 15fps and 30fps, 640 x 480 at 15fps and 30fps: ? ? ? ?

If anyone can let me know how much 1 second or 1 minute takes up that'd be appreciated

or you can let me know with

256mb card Max Time for Card: ?
512mb card Max Time for card: ?
1 gig card Max time for card: ?

My former camera the Optio S40 took clips of 320 x 240 at 30fps had memory of about 20 mins for a 512 card

Let me know Thanks

When you turn on the camera in video mode it lists how much time is available, which is probably an estimate as all video doesn't take the same amount of storage. My SD300 has a 512 Meg card and here are the numbers:

320x240 60fps = 6'07"
320x240 30fps = 11'59"
320x240 15fps = 23'26"

640x480 30fps = 4'15"
640x480 15fps = 8'26"

160x120 15fps = 57'17"

Divide or multiply by 2 for 256 or 1 G cards.

hahahah I swear I never knew that..

Well you probably figured it out now that I just recently got my camera :D
hehe

I knew those numbers were for something but I never put two and two together.. there was no battery indicator to tell you how much battery juice you got left so I assumed there wasn't an indicator to tell you how much video you got left..

I guess I'm still use to the Optio S40 menus and option....

But anyways thanks for your help David you answered a lot of my questions :D

320x240 30fps = 11'59"

ack that is so sad though.... so so sad because the Optio S40 handles the same size video at the same framerate but nearly twice the amount of time. Its about 20 minutes..

You have any idea why though? Curious :)
Would it have something to do with image quality, the way the camera stores the data etc..?

breaking my heart here
