I got rechargeable batteries, and for some reason, I kept getting a low battery even when they were fully charged. I finally called, and found out that the rechargeable batteries are 1.2V and the regular batteries are 1.5. I looked on Amazon to see about getting the Enelope batteries, but it doesn't say what they are. I have Sony & Rayovac which aren't working well. (Except in like toys.) Rayovac said that some cameras are more sensitive to the voltage and that is why I am getting the low battery indicator.

What camera do you have? What batteries do you have that aren't working well in that camera?

Possible. Try a set of regular alkalines first before you go blowing cash on more rechargeables that may or may not work. Eneloops are 1.2v just like standard NiMH. [PDF Spec Sheet (http://www.eneloop.info/uploads/media/Datasheet_-_HR-3UTG_01.pdf)]

So far the only cameras that don't work well with NiMH AA batteries are Kodak cameras. Maybe your AA's were unused for a long period of time?

No, my son recharged them fully, and put them in the camera and got a low battery message. It is a Canon. My DD tried different batteries in her camera, brand new out of the box (Rayovac Hybirds) and also got an error message. Regular batteries worked in the second camera; didn't try them yet in the first.

A590? I've heard about battery problems with this model more than once.

Close. A570 I think. (I took it off my siggy when my son took it with him.)

Axxx Canons work fine with NiMHs so you must have a faulty cam or batteries. :(

I've heard about buggy A series' cams. More A590s than anything else though. Is it under warranty by chance? If so, I'd be sending that sucker in.
