I have a Canon S1 IS right now that I bought about 3 years ago. It died yesterday, lines and no picture can be found on the screen and in the viewfinder. So I started browsing for a new camera and my budget is limited since we JUST bought a new video cam. When I saw these two Kodak cameras, with all their ultra zoom capabilities and IS, I was quite surprised at the price (Dell has both on sale for under $180).
I noticed one has a special lens... but I'm not educated enough about cameras to know if that's better than the other or not. I want a nice point and shoot that has some extra features (like rapid shooting, my Canon has that and its awesome for sports and kids playing shots) but I confess I hardly ever used most of what I had on my Canon - I don't even understand most of the manual modes it has. But it was nice to know that if I ever learned how to use white balance and aperture, etc, that I had the option!
Which one would you think a better camera to go with?
