All this while, I've always thought that SD200/SD300's could do unlimited movie recording (till SD card max) with the new DIGIC II processor - but, unfortunately, I was sadly mistaken. I just took a closer look at the movie recording features of the SD200 and SD300 and the movie clips are STILL limited to 3 minutes. This is sad news! If the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II (With DIGIC II) can do 4 fps at 16.6 megapixels, I don't see why Powershots (With DIGIC II) can't do unlimited puny 640x480 less-than-1-megapixel 30fps movies  !!
I hope something can be done about this (Esp with the new cams coming up - and I may consider getting an Ixus 600). Canon, if you're reading this, there's still a little room for changes - and IMPROVEMENTS ;) .

I am a proud owner of the Canon SD200 and I can confidently say that "you CAN do unlimited video !!!" I just shot a 11 min video using 640x480 setting (@15bps) with a ATP 512MB SD card. I wanted to test the card so I just let it record til the card was Full. The following is from steves-digicams.com
"You can record movie clips with audio in Standard mode at 15 or 30 frames per second in 640x480 VGA or 320 x 240 QVGA resolution. The maximum length of each clip is limited only by the available space on the SD card (when using high-speed SD media.) Movie are recorded in Motion JPEG format and saved as AVI files.
You can also select the Fast Frame Rate capture mode which records 320 x 240 resolution at 60 frames per second with a maximum clip length of one minute. For email use select the Compact 160 x 120 mode at 15fps, maximum clip length is three minutes.

I just shot 11 minute video. I have a SanDisk 256 SD Extreme card, so I had to go down to 320x240 but still shot all the way through. :)

I'm a third SD300 owner confirming that there is no 3 minute limit to movies.

Oops - Sorry everyone for my misunderstanding, no insult to SD200/SD300 owners. I just got a shock at the Canon USA website. :o
Quote from SD300, specifications:
"Figures for Movie Mode represent total capacity of SD Memory Card. Individual clips are limited to 3 minutes"
That must've been inaccurate
