Hello Folks, I'm new to the forum and also the camera.

My question is: Are screen protectors ok to put on the viewing screen?

I don't want to put something on it and risk damage to the coating or something.

Any help is appreciated.

As long as they're purpose-specific there'll be no problems at all. Get 'em at your local camera store.

Maybe something like THIS (http://www.nushield.com/manufacturer_detail.php?apptypeid=Camera++&manufacturerid=Sony++) ?

There's a zillion brands out there.
