I have seena number of auctions on ebay for wide angle and telephoto lenses. They aseem to cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $60. HAs anyone tried one of these? ANy good? I like to take pics at baseball games and I am looking to get even closer shots and if these actually work for that price it would be great. If not, any ideas?
Thanks, John

For $60 you're going to get a cheap lens but an expensive paperweight. It'll be of poor quality, sloppy manufacturing, and bad optics.
If you really want to go this route consider a lens from a reputable manufacturer such as Canon or Raynox. Look at this page (http://www.lensmateonline.com/newsite/order_S2_1.html) for some ideas but you'll end up spending $150-250 on a good lens, plus $30 for an adapter tube. But any add on lens will make low light performance work as it will eat up more light.

I think David means "worse", just to avoid confusion.

Yes, thank you. That's what I meant.

Conversion lenses are mostly crap. I would not buy the Opteka brand. Raynox might be OK.
The best solution...better seats.
