Adobe Photoshop?

Does this prog. crop pictures according to pixels? Also isn't the previous version of PS-7 then cs which is a professional edition. Can someone give me the run down of all of what this software does and are there any simple little programs i could get for free that crop(except JPEGcrop) by me changing the pixels. i think JPEGCrop can only do it by inches ...etc.but i want pixels and inches.

If cropping is all you're interested in, then using Photoshop is a bit like using steam driven, steel pile driving hammer to crack a peanut open. :)

Photoshop CS is the successor to Photoshop 7, both of which you might like to think of as "for the professional".

If you want a freebie, The Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) has a growing reputation and will certainly do what you want and a lot of what you don't know yet you'll want to do!! :)

(And no, I'm not at all connected with The Gimp and I don't use it at all. It's just that some people I know have and they say it's good and getting better.)
