Macbook vs Macbook pro, help pick

Ok I'm hoping to get some good help and feedback here. Currently I have a Ibook G4 I bought like 5 or so years ago new. I've upgraded the memory to 1.5 now but I'm wanting to upgrade. Im sure the Macbook will be fine for me but I don't really understand a whole lot of the technical mombo jumbo. Besides for the obvious bigger screen and the different graphic card what is the main difference in the 2 why should I pay almost double the price for the pro?

I couldn't see any point in the bigger Macbook Pro and got a Macbook. I've never been happier!

Ya I don't need the bigger screen I hook up to an external screen for that But I'm wondering about the internal components. I know I'll be happy with either espically with the 4 gb of ram

There's an interesting article here (http://www.macnewsworld.com/story/61938.html) that addresses that very question. The main thing they list is that the MBP's LED-backlit screen will stay bright longer and consume less energy. The MacBook Pro also has separate dedicated memory for it's NVIdia Graphics processor. This is a benefit for not only multi tasking, but serious graphics works.

In the end, it comes down to what you're planning to do with it. If you need the extra firepower, then the MBP may be the ideal choice. But if it's just for every day use and some basic photo editing, I think that the conventional MacBook is just fine for that.
