I just bought a Canon Powershot A720 and I want the right SD card. I need to decide between the Sandisk 2GB and the Sandisk Ultra 2GB. The question is: do I need that speed? I do plan on taking plenty of video with my camera. Does that mean I'll benefit from a faster card? Will a faster card give me better video quality because it can record at a higher bitrate? Or will it factor much into burst mode pictures (though I don't currently plan on using this feature that much)?

From the buyers I'm looking at, the price difference is $10 for the Sandisk and $15 for the Sandisk Ultra. Only $5, but I am in college and don't want to spend anything I don't need to spend.

Thanks.

Edit: What is the writing speed of the A720 anyway? And what is the writing speed of the regular Sandisk 2GB (not the Ultra). I can't find anywhere that says...

Faster card won't give you a better quality, it will only speed up film recording and continuous photo shooting (means that camera will write the files quicker).

SanDisk Ultra II souds like a fine option, as these cards are fast and quite cheap. Ultra III is a little overboard. If I'm not mistaken standard SanDisk SD cards are Class 2 (2 MB/s write speed), Ultra II cards are Class 4 (4 MB/s write speed) and Ultra III cards are Class 6 (6 MB/s write speed)..
