Hey folks, I took some pictures with this lens the other night. I am a huge rookie and I was sitting on row 17 taking basketball pics. I just need some advice to help me take better pictures. Thanks for any advice and don't go too ahrd on me ;-)

You should have been able to get away with ISO 800, I would only use 1600 when absolutely no other choice!

I agree on lowering the ISO. I would also back off a little with the zoom so your cropping is not so tight. Finally, You might want to invest in a low cost monopod...
