Hello, im looking for DSLR that will be mostly used on big music events (20,000-100,000 of people, lasers, big stages, fast changes of lights and scenography).

I'll need camera + lens + flashgun.

I can spend around 2000$ (+-200).

Size: Not too big - but i would say that this is not very important for me.

Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you? - Im not really into photography right now, so i cant really tell. That why im asking for your opinions and suggestions.

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify) - Depends on lens? But 10-12x i would say.

* How important is “image quality” to you? 10/10.

Do you care for manual controls? Not really.

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for? Big music events - with low light and fast changes of light...

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? A4 = maximum size.

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Like i said - LOW LIGHT mostly.

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? Hmmm... lasers changes like twice every second so i would say 'yes' - those are action photos.

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate? Nope.

Are there particular models you already have in mind? Not really.

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) I would need good Image Stabilization, Rotating LCD would be nice - but i can hanlde without it.

Now im using Fujifilm F50fd and it's ok, for compact... But now i need something better... - here i will give you few link 2 my photos so you can see how does those events look like.

Before you go this route, are you sure you'd be allowed to bring in a dSLR? A lot of the concerts I attend specifically state "no professional cameras", which generally means no dSLRs, unless you've got a press pass.

It's also not something you can exactly hide.

jekostas has a very good point

I personally would recommend maybe the Canon 40D, I reckon you'll want the ISO 3200 just in case (or if you can afford, the D300 for its 6400 ISO :D)

What do you think about set: Canon 40D, tamron 17-50 2.8 & flashgun 430EX ????
